5th Grade Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Teacher to inspire and educate young learners in a dynamic classroom environment. This role involves fostering academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love for learning among students transitioning from elementary to middle school. You will design engaging lessons, manage classroom activities effectively, and collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive and stimulating educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and other core subjects.
• Utilize various teaching methods and learning technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
• Provide individualized support and tutoring to students requiring additional assistance or special education services.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student development and address behavioral or learning challenges.
• Incorporate early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices into daily instruction.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in grades 4–6.
• Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education.
• Experience working with students with autism or those requiring early intervention strategies is preferred.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with teaching physical education, library services, or working with children in private school settings is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for effective engagement with students, parents, and staff.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
