Waconda USD 272 is seeking applications for a Full-Time 5th Grade Teacher due to retirement for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.

Applicant must have (or be able to obtain) a Certified Teaching license with the proper endorsement.

Applicants willing to obtain licensure through a two year Transition to Teaching Program are also encouraged to apply.

Salary Information

Salary is based on the negotiated agreement salary schedule. Starting first year teachers with a Bachelors Degree is $40,102 for the 2025-2026 school year. Teaching experience and education will be credited towards movement on the salary schedule.

2025-2026 negotiated agreement with salary schedule included. The 2026-2027 salary schedule has not yet been negotiated.
