Role Description:

The Summer Intern, IT-Data and Analytics will support data engineering and data science projects by developing Python applications and SQL scripts. This intern will work with large datasets, helping to develop analytical tools and performing data analysis.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

As a summer Intern, we will provide you with:

  • A real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connections with recent college graduates and our company leaders
  • Performance of assignments under the direct supervision of a department lead
  • Performance of other work-related duties as needed

Your essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop Python apps or SQL scripts to support data engineering and data science projects.
  • Assist in processing and analyzing large data sets to derive insights.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Required Experience:

Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including working with formulas, creating spreadsheets, and summarizing data.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program

Must have at least 30 credit hours complete

Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average

Required Skills:

Strong skills in Data Engineering, Data Science, Python programming, SQL development, and analytics.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

Graduate student with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or data science

Rising senior with experience in data engineering and data science.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
