6G Welder – Stainless Steel

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 6G welding on stainless steel pipes and components using TIG/GTAW, SMAW, or MIG processes as specified.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures accurately.
• Prepare materials and ensure proper joint fit-up before welding.
• Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to ensure compliance with ASME/AWS standards.
• Maintain welding equipment in proper working condition.
• Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with the quality and inspection teams for testing (NDT, RT, PT as required).
• Repair or rework welds when necessary to meet quality requirements.
• Record welding parameters and maintain weld logs or inspection records.

Requirements:

• Trade Certificate / Diploma in Welding or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a 6G Welder, preferably in oil & gas, fabrication, or construction projects.
• Valid 6G Welding Certification (TIG/GTAW or SMAW) on Stainless Steel pipes (ASME IX or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of welding symbols, procedures, and material types (SS 304, SS 316, Duplex, etc.).
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and in confined or elevated areas.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
