Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic 6th Grade Math Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for mathematics. Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development best practices and align with educational standards for 6th grade mathematics.
• Deliver engaging instruction in core math topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math to ensure student understanding and enthusiasm.
• Utilize learning technology tools to enhance classroom engagement and facilitate differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide timely feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, instructional methods, and school-wide initiatives to promote academic excellence.
• Mentor students individually or in small groups through tutoring sessions or after-school programs to reinforce learning objectives.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to higher education teaching methods, special education accommodations, and research-based instructional design.
• Participate in school activities such as parent-teacher conferences, academic advising sessions, and extracurricular events that support student growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports; ensure compliance with school policies and educational regulations.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in education are preferred.
• Prior classroom experience teaching 6th grade mathematics or equivalent at the middle school level.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching a broad range of math topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math.
• Experience integrating technology into lesson planning and instruction to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a positive learning environment through strong classroom management skills.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in middle school education.
• Background in curriculum development, instructional design, or research laboratory experience related to science or mathematics is advantageous.
• Experience working with diverse learners including those requiring special education accommodations or behavioral support strategies.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, mentoring students, and engaging parents effectively.

Pay: $54,787.39 - $65,980.52 per year
