Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician with a state license to pass medications and assist with care to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and hospitals. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. The Medical Technician will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and memory-related conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
- Assist in the management of patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other memory-related conditions.
- Support caregiving activities in various settings such as hospice care, home care, and acute care environments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient progress and needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or hospitals is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or chronic conditions is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes.
- Experience in medication administration and understanding of related protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
