7th Grade Math Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 7th Grade Math Teacher to inspire and guide students through their mathematical journey. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons that foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a love for mathematics. You will create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and academic growth. Your expertise will help students develop a solid foundation in math concepts, preparing them for future academic success and real-world applications.

Duties

  • Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative instructional strategies and learning technology tools.
  • Teach a variety of math topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and introductory calculus, ensuring clarity and student engagement.
  • Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, standardized assessments, and project work; provide timely feedback to support learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and productive learning environment that accommodates diverse learning needs.
  • Develop customized tutoring sessions and support programs to assist students requiring additional help or enrichment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and school-wide initiatives to enhance educational quality.
  • Mentor students academically and personally, fostering their confidence and encouraging a growth mindset in mathematics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred.
  • Proven classroom experience teaching middle school students with a focus on math instruction.
  • Strong knowledge of math disciplines including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and molecular biology concepts where applicable.
  • Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital tools used for instruction and assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse learners.
  • Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate research-based instructional practices.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and curriculum development standards.

Pay: $55,146.42 - $66,412.89 per year
