Job Summary As a dual-role professional, you will serve as the lifeline between the public and emergency responders while ensuring the safety and well-being of inmates within the county jail. This role requires high-level multitasking, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a commitment to public service. Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Dispatch: Operate radio consoles and computerized telephone systems to handle 911 and non-emergency calls. Dispatch for multiple fire departments, rescue squads, and law enforcement agencies.
- Jail Operations: Maintain security of the facility and oversee inmate activities. This includes monitoring behavior, processing bookings and releases, and conducting searches.
- Inmate Care: Responsible for the physical and medical needs of inmates, including serving meals and dispensing medications.
- Data Management: Enter and retrieve data from state and national databases; maintain accurate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) records and jail logs.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
