911 / Public Safety Telecommunicator

The Iberia Parish Communications District is seeking dedicated, motivated and dependable applicants to join our team as a Public Safety Telecommunicator. Telecommunicators receive and process all emergency 9-1-1 calls, assessing each situation and determining the appropriate public safety response required. In addition to handling 9-1-1 calls, Telecommunicators manage both emergency and non-emergency communications for the Iberia Parish Fire District #1 and the New Iberia City Fire Department.

No experience? Don’t worry! The District provides paid on-the-job training to prepare new Public Safety Telecommunicators for a successful and long-term career where their work makes a direct impact on the community by saving lives and protecting property.
