Position: Business Teacher (Business Management, Economics & Accounting)
Location: Petra Adwoa Training Institute – Sharjah, UAE
Reports to: Academic Director
Role Overview:
The Business Teacher will be responsible for teaching Business Management, Economics, and Accounting to students at Petra Adwoa Training Institute. The teacher will deliver engaging lessons, support students in achieving excellent academic results, and prepare them for external examinations (IGCSE, A-Level, or equivalent).
Key Responsibilities:Teaching & Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Business Management, Economics, and Accounting.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with the institute’s curriculum and examination board standards (Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, etc.).
- Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students and accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Provide clear explanations of complex concepts in an accessible and practical way.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, assignments, and external examinations.
Student Support & Development
- Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Offer additional academic support through tutorials, revision classes, and consultation sessions.
- Motivate and mentor students to achieve their full potential.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student performance when required.
Administration & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
- Prepare and mark assessments, tests, and assignments on time.
- Contribute to reports, evaluation forms, and exam preparation materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure smooth academic operations.
Professional Contribution
- Stay updated with the latest syllabus changes and teaching strategies.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the academic growth and reputation of Petra Adwoa Training Institute.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Previous experience teaching IGCSE, AS & A Level, or equivalent curricula is highly desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge in Business Management, Economics, and Accounting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide students towards academic excellence.
