ABA Billing Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a Billing Manager to lead and oversee our billing department. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about ABA billing and excited to strengthen systems, mentor a team, and contribute to the continued growth of ABB’s revenue cycle management services.

The Billing Manager will play a key role in fostering a team-centered culture focused on communication, accountability, and continuous improvement. 

Billing Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the billing department 
  • Mentor and support billing specialists while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment 
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of billing staff 
  • Conduct performance reviews and hold regular 1:1 meetings with team members 
  • Identify workflow improvements and implement processes that strengthen operational efficiency 
  • Assign client accounts based on team capacity while maintaining an individual caseload 
  • Oversee onboarding for new clients, including kickoff calls and documentation collection 
  • Perform spot-check audits of accounts to ensure quality and accuracy 
  • Support resolution of complex billing issues and client escalations 
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and internal team members 
  • Audit trackers and timekeeping systems to ensure accuracy of timesheets and client invoices 
  • Stay informed on ABA billing trends, payor updates, and industry best practices 
  • Consult with clients on billing systems and revenue cycle best practices 
  • Develop and deliver RCM related trainings for staff and clients 
  • Collaborate with the Contracting & Credentialing team and Vice President of Strategic Growth to support client success 

Requirements 

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience 
  • Strong understanding of billing systems, technology, and operational workflows 
  • Ability to prioritize, pivot, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities 
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team 
  • Experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) 
  • Full Revenue Cycle Management experience (eligibility, authorizations, claims, denials, AR follow-up, payor communication); contracting and credentialing experience a plus 
  • Experience using billing systems such as CentralReach, ReThink/Tebra, Office Ally, AlohaABA, or similar platforms 
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
