Little Learners Therapy is dedicated to providing professional Infant Development services and Applied Behavior Analysis services with the warmth and quality of a Parent and the skill and experience of a Specialist. We are looking for qualified, motivated, energetic and creative professionals, to work with children in the family homes to help implement personalized family focused treatment programs.

The ideal ABA Therapist is passionate about their work with children ages 0 to 3 and have knowledge of typical and atypical child development.

The following overview is the basic required functions in fulfillment of the position. Additional responsibilities and expectations are developed on a case by case basis in order to meet the needs of families and consumers served.

Job Overview
Sessions will include play-based activities that encourage communication, social interaction and functional and age-appropriate play skills. The Early Interventionist (EI) should be comfortable being animated, playful and bubbly in order to create a fun and engaging environment for the client. The Early Interventionist should do this by singing nursery rhymes, using silly voices, making animal sounds, modeling simple language and using toys and movement activities. The goal is for these interactions to naturally support learning through play. Within these interactions, the Early Interventionist will target individualized goals outlined in the client's treatment plan. Focus areas will include developing communication, increasing engagement, building imitation skills, attending to and interacting with books, singing simple songs, strengthening fine motor skills, and labeling familiar objects. The Early Interventionist will accurately and consistently collect data on a company iPad during each session to monitor progress toward treatment goals. Additionally, evidence-based behavior analytic principles will be implemented in each session to promote positive behaviors and decrease challenging ones. A full week of paid training will be provided to ensure that the EI is prepared to implement programs, collect data and apply behavior analytic principles effectively.

Desired Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic about working with children, families and collaborating with team members.
  • Minimum availability of 25 working hours per week.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, or Education) or 4+ years of ABA experience or a related field
  • Have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various home based sites throughout the day (within a 30 mile radius) drive time and mileage is reimbursed.
  • Strong organizational skills and a desire to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Candidates must have their own transportation, valid CA drivers license, auto insurance and be able to pass a background check.
  • Maintain good standing and exemplary attendance
  • Complete and pass FBI and DOJ finger-printing, Drug screening, TB test
