ABA Therapist (Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist)

Job Summary

The ABA Therapist provides one-on-one therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental or behavioral challenges. The therapist implements individualized treatment plans, collects behavioral data, and supports the development of communication, social, academic, and daily living skills through evidence-based ABA techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual ABA therapy sessions according to treatment plans.
• Implement behavior intervention programs under the supervision of a BCBA/IBA or Clinical Supervisor.
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and adaptive skills.
• Use positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate session data and progress notes.
• Prepare and organize therapy materials.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide regular feedback regarding client progress.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuing education activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Education, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field.
• ABA certification or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred.
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental delays.
• CDA License or eligibility for licensure in Dubai is preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with children and families.
