AC & Heating Repair Technician Troubleshooting & Installation Expert (Own Truck and Tools Required)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled AC & Heating Repair Technician – Troubleshooting and Installation Expert to join our dynamic team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and installing a wide range of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience in service technician roles, and familiarity with HVAC design, schematics, and related systems. A valid driver’s license is required to facilitate field service operations across various locations. Duties

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and related HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals
• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment including boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and other mechanical systems
• Perform equipment repair tasks such as welding, component replacement, and system calibration
• Conduct routine maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity
• Read and interpret HVAC schematics and design plans for proper installation and repairs
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting
• Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems when necessary
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related fields such as mechanical maintenance or appliance repair
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and boiler operations
• Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, welding, and property maintenance
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
• Experience working with field service operations in various environments
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools including ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices
• Valid driver’s license (PERSON driver preferred) for travel between job sites
• Construction or mechanic experience highly desirable
• Ability to work independently in troubleshooting complex issues efficiently while maintaining safety standards

Pay: $35.00 - $48.00 per hour
