We are urgently seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician cum Driver to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of air conditioning systems to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability. In addition to technical duties, the role requires the safe and responsible operation of company vehicles while attending site visits and service calls.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning systems to maintain peak performance and operational reliability.
- Clean and service filters, coils, drainage lines, and other AC components to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Perform corrective and emergency maintenance (CM/EM) as directed by the supervisor.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot AC system faults, including issues related to compressors, motors, thermostats, electrical controls, and other critical components.
- Repair or replace defective parts to restore system functionality efficiently.
- Install new air conditioning units and replace major components such as compressors, condensers, and evaporators when required.
- Handle refrigerants safely, including leak detection and gas charging, in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Conduct system performance testing to ensure compliance with required operational standards.
- Calibrate thermostats and control systems to ensure accurate temperature regulation and energy efficiency.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and repair records.
- Record all materials and spare parts used during maintenance activities in the designated system.
- Strictly follow company health and safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and tools.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding technical issues, repair requirements, and material needs.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades, replacements, or improvements where necessary.
- Attend technical training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on HVAC industry standards and best practices.
- Respond promptly to urgent service requests, especially during peak seasons or extreme weather conditions.
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly when attending service calls, transporting equipment, or collecting materials.
