A/C Technician MEP Technician

Here at Home and away an 18-year-old strong technical company, we are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience in service technician roles. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. The HVAC Technician will ensure that all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations.

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose issues with HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals to identify problems accurately.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and installations.
• Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot system failures and provide solutions promptly.
• Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing to ensure comprehensive property maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory of parts used.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to prevent accidents or injuries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role in construction or mechanical fields.
• Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with appliance repair techniques and property maintenance best practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
• Valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
