About the Role

Meluha International School is seeking an Academic Coordinator for Primary Grades (Classes 1–5) to oversee teaching and learning in the foundational years. This role is ideal for an experienced primary teacher who has grown into a leadership position and can guide teachers, support student learning, and ensure smooth academic planning.

The Academic Coordinator will work closely with teachers to strengthen classroom practices, monitor academic progress, and ensure that the primary wing reflects the school’s standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Teaching

• Ensure lesson plans and teaching practices are aligned with CBSE standards.
• Guide teachers in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
• Monitor classroom instruction and provide constructive feedback.

Teacher Support & Development

• Mentor and support primary teachers in improving pedagogy.
• Conduct regular meetings to review progress and address challenges.
• Coordinate teacher training and workshops in collaboration with school leadership.

Academic Planning & Monitoring

• Oversee preparation of timetables, assessments, and academic reports.
• Track student performance and support teachers in addressing learning gaps.
• Ensure consistency in teaching quality across all primary grades.

Student & Parent Engagement

• Address student learning needs in consultation with teachers.
• Meet parents when required to discuss academic progress and concerns.
• Support initiatives that make primary school a positive and motivating environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed. mandatory), Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience in primary grades, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum and child-centric teaching methods.
