Job Description: Academic Coordinator – Primary

Position Overview

The Academic Coordinator – Primary is responsible for overseeing the academic planning, implementation, and monitoring of teaching–learning processes for Grades 1 to 5. The role ensures high-quality instruction, curriculum alignment, teacher support, and smooth academic operations across the primary section.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Planning & Curriculum Management

Implement and monitor the school’s academic curriculum for Primary grades.

Ensure lesson plans, yearly planners, and timetables are prepared and followed.

Track curriculum completion and maintain academic documentation.

2. Teacher Support & Supervision

Guide, mentor, and support primary teachers in delivering effective instruction.

Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback.

Organize teacher training, workshops, and capacity-building sessions.

3. Student Learning & Assessment

Coordinate formative and summative assessments as per the academic calendar.

Review question papers, answer scripts, and grade reports.

Monitor student performance and implement academic improvement plans.

Coordinate remedial classes for slow learners.

4. Parent Communication & Coordination

Address parent academic queries professionally.

Conduct PTMs, academic orientations, and parent workshops.

5. School Administration & Operations

Ensure smooth academic operations, discipline standards, and student attendance.

Coordinate with management, subject heads, and other departments.

Assist in planning events, competitions, assemblies, and academic activities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership, supervision, and team-handling abilities.

Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer applications.

Qualification & Experience

Graduate/Post-Graduate with B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in Primary;

Prior experience as coordinator/supervisor preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,233.28 - ₹30,000.00 per month
