Job Summary:
The Academic Counsellor / Trainee provides guidance to students and parents regarding academic programs, course selection, and career pathways. The role involves counselling students, maintaining academic records, assisting in admissions, and ensuring a smooth academic experience for learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel students and parents about suitable courses, streams, and career options.
- Provide detailed information about academic programs, eligibility, and admission procedures.
- Handle student inquiries through calls, emails, and walk-ins.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and follow-ups.
- Assist in organizing orientations, academic workshops, and counselling sessions.
- Support the admissions process — form filling, document verification, and fee collection.
- Collaborate with teachers and coordinators to monitor students’ academic progress.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes, examination patterns, and career trends.
- Achieve assigned enrolment or counselling targets.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic approach in all interactions.
- Skills & Competencies:
- NEP/NCF Knowedge Preferred.
- Comand in english and hindi.
- Teaching experience is highly appreciable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling and problem-solving ability.
- Good understanding of academic streams (Science, Commerce, Humanities, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for student welfare.
Qualification & Experience:
- For Academic Counsellor: Graduate/Postgraduate in Psychology, Education, or related fields with 1–3 years of counselling or academic experience.
- For Trainee Academic Counsellor: Fresh graduate or postgraduate with good communication and learning attitude.
