Academic Counselor

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Academic Counselor to guide and support students through their educational journeys. The ideal candidate will help students assess their academic strengths and weaknesses, set realistic goals, and provide resources and advice to help them succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and counseling to students, helping them develop educational plans aligned with their strengths and career aspirations.
• Assist students in course selection, registration, and understanding academic requirements.
• Monitor and analyze student performance, providing intervention and support when necessary.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address academic or behavioral concerns.
• Facilitate programs related to crisis intervention, study skills, and personal development.
• Maintain confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
• Stay updated on educational trends, resources, and admission requirements to provide accurate guidance.
• Support students in overcoming personal, social, or academic challenges affecting their performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience in academic counseling or a similar advisory role is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Knowledge of educational systems, curriculum, and career counseling principles.
• Empathetic and patient approach to student needs.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹25,947.59 per month
