SCOPE OF WORK: Provides technical and administrative support within the office of academic advising with responsibility for assisting with the enrollment process with a focus on financial literacy, processes, eligibility, SAP status, tuition planning, and scholarships. This position will serve as the point of contact for students looking to reengage and complete their program, as well as newly enrolled first-time, full-time students. Collects, maintains, and provides information, data, calendars, and reports. May provide specialized support to select student populations including students looking to regain satisfactory academic progress. This position reports to the Director of Academic Advising at Manchester Community College
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in counseling, education, liberal arts, general studies, or a related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in academic/career advising, admissions, teaching, tutoring, library services, and/or student support within an educational setting. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
OR
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in counseling, education, liberal arts, general studies, or a related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: One (1) year of experience in academic/career advising, admissions, teaching, tutoring, library services, and/or student support within an educational setting. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License or access to transportation required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Zoom, Word Press, Adobe, and email marketing software. Experience in a higher education environment. Bilingual preferred.

Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college.
