Academic Tutor/Mentor

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer students guidance across various subjects, including mathematics, science, language arts, and special education (both in-person and online)
• Tailor teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, ensuring each student is engaged and challenged appropriately.
• Utilize students' school materials to provide engaging, dynamic supplemental instruction
• Foster a supportive environment, providing mentorship to ensure a thriving space for learning and personal development.
• Maintain open, heartfelt communication with students and parents, sharing progress updates and strategies for overcoming challenges.
• Assess student progress thoughtfully, adapting instructional strategies to best support growth and achievement.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in tutoring or teaching, with a preference for expertise in early childhood education or adult education settings.
• Proven ability to connect with children or young adults in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering effective dialogue with students and parents.
• Proficiency in leveraging learning technologies to enhance the tutoring experience is highly valued.
• Experience in special education is a plus, as we strive to meet every student's unique needs.
