About Our Search

We are currently looking for an Academic Writer & Scientific Quality Assurance Specialist to join our client who is a biotech company specializing in bioinformatics solutions for rare diseases and cancer, leveraging Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data.


Their cloud-based software, SEQ Platform, is currently used in more than 25 countries and has been adopted by over 450 hospitals and laboratories. To date, it has played a critical role in diagnosing rare diseases for over 300,000 patients and is a leading biotechnology company with a vision of developing products to provide personalized treatment recommendations for cancer patients, helping them live longer and healthier lives. diseases and the development of personalized treatment strategies for cancer.


Role Overview

As an Academic Writer & Scientific Quality Assurance Specialist , you will be responsible for developing their scientific communications and ensuring scientific accuracy across publications, conference materials, and product documentation.


This role is ideal for a PhD graduate or post-doctoral researcher looking to transition from academia to a dynamic biotech environment. You will work closely with internal teams, collaborators, and global scientific partners to uphold the company’s academic excellence.


The position requires a strong scientific foundation, excellent writing skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. Occasional international travel for conferences and collaboration meetings will be expected.


Key Responsibilities

● Develop and publish high-quality scientific materials, including journal articles, posters, white papers, and conference submissions

● Draft and edit grant proposals and collaboration project documents

● Act as the scientific voice in academic and research environments

● Communicate with journal editors, conference organizers, and collaborators

● Review and validate the scientific accuracy of product-related materials

● Ensure consistency with current literature and methodological rigor in all outputs

● Support benchmarking studies and scientific audits to maintain quality standards


Qualifications

● PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Genomic Medicine, Bioinformatics , or a related field

● Strong publication record and experience in scientific writing and presentations

● Excellent command of academic English (written and spoken)

● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in leading scientific projects

● Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and clinical teams

● Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for conferences and workshops
