Juniata College invites applications for a full-time Academic / Simulation Coordinator to support the launch and ongoing operations of our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. This 12-month staff position offers the unique opportunity to shape the operational foundation of a new nursing program from the ground up.
As the operational partner to the Nursing Program Director and faculty, the successful candidate will ensure our program meets the highest standards of regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and educational excellence. This is a non-faculty, non-teaching position designed for someone who thrives on precision, organization, and behind-the-scenes leadership in a dynamic healthcare education environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Drive Accreditation & Compliance Excellence
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing (PABON), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and institutional requirements
- Coordinate collection, verification, and secure storage of student clinical compliance documentation and affiliation agreements
- Track regulatory deadlines, accreditation benchmarks, and reporting cycles; prepare materials for submissions and site visits
Lead Simulation Laboratory Operations
- Oversee daily operations of high- and low-fidelity simulation systems, ensuring equipment readiness, maintenance coordination, and inventory management
- Coordinate simulation scheduling and provide technical setup support for faculty-designed scenarios that bring learning to life
Manage Program Operations & Data Integrity
- Maintain secure data systems related to student progression, clinical placements, faculty workload, and simulation utilization
- Monitor and track departmental and simulation-related budgets; assist with operational forecasting and invoice validation
- Ensure seamless coordination of program logistics in a regulated healthcare education environment
