CareArc is accepting applications for a full-time Access Specialist to join our team in Emporia, KS. The Access Specialist is our first point of contact for our patients and community members. The right candidate must be able to greet patients, obtain insurance and financial documents, schedule appointments and perform a variety of other clerical, reception and administrative tasks.
Primary Functions

Provide excellent customer service

Ensure that all required paperwork for services is completed.

Verify patient information including demographics and medical/dental insurance coverage, as applicable, every time a patient comes to the clinic to ensure the accuracy and preservation of patient record.

Call and remind patients of upcoming appointments.

Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
-
Schedule patients in a computerized practice management system. Maintain appointment schedule and follow office scheduling policies.

Help contact and reschedule patients when providers’ schedules change.

Direct phone calls to proper destination or take messages.

Accurately document and route task communications in the practice management system.

Receive and process any patient payments
-
Perform other additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
-
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.

1 year experience in general office environment or call center required.
