We are seeking a design-minded Account Executive to lead consultative sales of seasonal custom décor and environmental design projects—from concept through contract and execution.
This role combines B2B sales, client relationship management, and design-driven problem solving, ideal for professionals who enjoy closing complex projects through creativity, strategy, and strong communication.
You will work directly with municipal clients, commercial real estate, and venues to deliver tailored solutions that meet both aesthetic and budget requirements.
Success in this role requires comfort with consultative selling, project-based sales, and long sales cycles, with performance measured by revenue generation, client satisfaction, and completed projects.
Sales Cycle & Work Environment
This position involves a long, consultative sales cycle and project-based selling, often spanning several months. You will manage opportunities from lead generation and design consultation through contract negotiation and close.
Candidates should be comfortable managing:
- Pipeline development and CRM tracking
- Long timelines and multi-stakeholder deals
- Design presentations tied to budget and contract approval
Seasonality
Our business operates on a seasonal sales cycle, with peak and planning periods throughout the year. Success requires strong time management, pipeline discipline, and consistent sales activity across both high and low seasons.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Sales & Design Consultant for commercial and municipal clients
- Manage the full B2B sales cycle: prospecting, consultation, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Conduct design consultations and present customized décor solutions
- Generate new business through cold calling, networking, and outbound sales
- Maintain and grow existing client accounts through upselling and relationship management
- Develop project proposals, pricing, and contracts
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, production, operations) to deliver projects
- Track pipeline, sales activity, and forecasts in CRM systems (Zoho, Salesforce, etc.)
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and scope with clients
- Stay informed on design trends, commercial environments, and industry competitors
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in:
- B2B sales
- Consultative sales
- Project-based or design-related sales· Experience in design, environments, décor, construction, or related sales preferred
Proven ability to:
- Generate new business (prospecting, outbound sales)
- Manage long sales cycles and complex deals
- Close contracts and meet revenue goals
Strong skills in:
- Communication and presentation
- Negotiation and closing
- Client relationship management
- Experience with CRM systems (Zoho, Salesforce, etc.)
- Ability to balance design recommendations with budget, timeline, and project constraints
- Self-motivated with strong territory management and pipeline ownership
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, presentations, and industry events
