Account Executive — Managed Security & IT Services

Position Overview

We're looking for a driven, technically sharp Account Executive who thrives on hunting, building relationships, and closing meaningful deals in the managed services space.

You will own a territory, run a full sales cycle, and sell a differentiated managed security and technology portfolio to mid-market clients. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and consultants who are genuinely invested in helping you win in front of every prospect.

This is a hunter role. Success is defined by pipeline generation, deal quality, and consistent quota attainment, not by account babysitting or reactive order-taking.

Compensation

$80,000 base + uncapped commission
OTE $160,000–$180,000+ with annual accelerators above attainment
6-month ramp period

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years of B2B technology sales experience at an MSP, MSSP, or technology services company
  • Consistent track record of hitting or exceeding quota in a recurring revenue (MRR) sales model
  • Comfortable selling both managed services agreements and one-time project engagements
  • Hands-on experience with ConnectWise PSA, CPQ, and Zoho CRM (or comparable platforms)
  • Able to lead consultative discovery conversations at the IT Director and C-suite level
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts: EDR, ITDR, DNS security, email security, MFA, SIEM/SOC
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks including CMMC, HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST CSF 2.0
  • Comfortable discussing Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud hosting at a business level
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Disciplined pipeline management with accurate forecasting, stage hygiene, and next steps

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into healthcare, legal, financial services, or critical infrastructure verticals
  • Awareness of application development and Microsoft Power Platform capabilities
  • Existing professional network or referral channels in target verticals
  • Experience with channel or vendor partner-sourced pipeline development
  • Core Responsibilities
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of new business through active hunting, cold outreach, referrals, and partner channels
  • Lead discovery conversations that uncover business risk, compliance gaps, and technology pain
  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineering and Service Delivery to design the right solution for each client
  • Manage pipeline, quotes, and activity in ConnectWise PSA, CPQ, and Zoho CRM
  • Stay sharp on QIT's full portfolio: cybersecurity, compliance advisory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and app development

Pay: $80,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
