OVERVIEW
Cortex is hiring an Account Executive to drive growth in the post-acute care space. This is a full-cycle, relationship-driven sales role built for people who know this industry - nurses, clinical leaders, administrators, social workers, MDS coordinators, and operators who have lived the realities of home health, hospice, and skilled nursing.
If you’ve spent years inside facilities or agencies and want a new path that uses your expertise without bedside burnout, survey stress, or endless fires, this is that path.
You'll connect with leaders across home health, hospice, skilled nursing, and assisted living organizations, helping them solve their toughest operational, satisfaction, and workflow problems with Cortex’s software and services.
This is a hybrid remote role. You’ll work from home and spend 2–3 days per week visiting customers and prospects within about a 30–40 mile radius of your home base.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Identify, prospect, and close new business with post-acute organizations (home health, hospice, SNFs, ALFs)
- Build long-term relationships with DONs, MDS coordinators, Administrators, Social Workers, admissions/discharge teams, and regional leaders
- Conduct prospecting activities: phone, email, LinkedIn, in-person visits
- Visit local facilities 2–3 days per week and network extensively in your region
- Represent Cortex at regional events and industry conferences
- Deliver consultative, high-touch experiences that show clear understanding of post-acute challenges
- Manage your pipeline and consistently achieve sales targets
- Collaborate with leadership and marketing on messaging, campaigns, and market strategy
WHO THRIVES IN THIS ROLE
You’ll be a strong match if you bring:
- Background in post-acute care (home health, hospice, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living)
- Experience as a DON, ADON, MDS coordinator, clinician, administrator, supervisor, social worker, case manager, admissions/discharge leader, or agency director
- Strong operational or regulatory understanding of the post-acute world
- Experience in relationship-based roles (formal sales experience welcome but not required)
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to connect with leaders at all levels
- A competitive, driven mindset with a desire to build something meaningful

PAY & BENEFITS
- $70,000 base salary
- 15% commission on margin (OTE ~$140,000+)
