Accountant / Finance Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant / Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with all taxation and statutory requirements in Pakistan. This role requires strong expertise in accounting principles, GST and withholding tax filings, and financial reporting.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Management

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledgers, receivables, payables, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, cash flow statements, and management reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Oversee expense tracking, cost control, and financial analysis to support decision-making.

Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare and file monthly Sales Tax / GST returns on FBR and PRA/ICT systems as applicable.
• Handle Withholding Tax (WHT) calculations, deductions, and filing of withholding statements.
• Ensure compliance with FBR regulations, SECP requirements, and other statutory bodies relevant to IT and software companies.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities for audits and compliances.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for tax audits and assessments.

Financial Operations

• Manage vendor payments, client invoicing, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payments of liabilities.
• Coordinate with banks for account management, remittances, and foreign inward payments.
• Process salaries and ensure compliance with labor laws where applicable.

Required Skills & QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com, M.Com, BBA/MBA Finance, or ACCA/CA Inter preferred).

Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in accounting and finance.
• Experience in the IT / software industry will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong command of GST filing, withholding tax filing, and Pakistan taxation laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo, or ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of bank reconciliations, financial reporting standards, and internal financial controls.
• Proficient in MS Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working with software/IT companies or service-based businesses.
• Knowledge of SECP compliance and corporate filing requirements.
• Understanding of international remittances, export proceeds, and IT sector tax incentives.

Pay: Rs55,000.00 - Rs65,000.00 per month
