We are seeking a Pharmacy Tech/Account Manager in Albuquerque, NM!!

Experience in long term care pharmacy, assisted living and hospice is preferred.

This position requires full-time hours, including weekends and holidays. Candidate must supply their own vehicle, and be willing to travel as this position requires regular visits to facilities across the state of New Mexico. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist Pharmacist with input (when appropriate), filling and dispensing of all prescriptions.
  • Filling of prescriptions per rules and regulations of all regulatory entities.
  • Answer telephone calls, assist caller when appropriate, or enlist Pharmacist to assist if appropriate. Respond to customer needs timely.
  • Prepare medications to be delivered to facility per delivery schedule.
  • Assist with ordering of medications from wholesaler along with proper inventory management.
  • Assist with Medication Returns and E-Kit management.
  • Visit multiple facilities each month to ensure all facilities are visited once a quarter.
  • Attend or perform in-services on LinkRx and StatSafe as needed.
  • Perform StatSafe audits.
  • Perform Cycle Exchanges
  • Mandatory attendance at quarterly Performance Improvement Meetings.
  • Conduct Satisfaction Surveys and help with Grievance Logs.
  • Act as point person for the facilities to reach out to for issues/problems/complaints.
  • Communicate all facility changes/updates with pharmacy team.
  • Support Consulting team as needed.
  • Will comply with all Corporate Initiatives and utilize provided tools/resources as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Travel to and from other facilities will be required as job duties demand.
  • Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as calculators, copy machines and printers up to 100% of the time;
  • Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person;
  • Must be able to see 100% of the time to recognize medications, detect inaccuracies, and observe the work of others;
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching and stooping;
  • Must be able to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds, up to 10% of the time;
  • Must be able to tolerate normal office environment and exposure to various medications
