Account Manager – AMAKA Studio
Location : Remote US based
Schedule : 4 days per week (part time)

Role Purpose:
The Account Manager will lead client relationship management, oversee high-value accounts, and support new business development for AMAKA’s creative, experiential, and content production work. With deep experience and strong ownership, this role ensures excellence across client servicing, project coordination, and pipeline development - while operating within a flexible, 4-day-a-week structure.
The Account Manager will work closely with the CEO and Head of Projects to retain existing client relationships, secure retainers, and acquire new business through strategy development, proposal creation, and targeted pitch execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Leadership
- Act as the senior point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring polished, timely, and clear communication.
- Maintain and deepen relationships with existing and former clients through strategic follow-ups, quarterly check-ins, and tailored capability updates.
- Understand client needs, challenges, and long-term plans, translating these into actionable briefs and opportunities for AMAKA.
- Proactively share AMAKA’s case studies, insights, and creative capabilities to strengthen client confidence and trust.
2. Strategy Development & Commercial Positioning
- Support the CEO in refining AMAKA’s commercial offering, positioning, and strategic approach to winning new business.
- Assist in developing tailored strategies for approaching key sectors - such as creative industries, experiential events, global brands, and enterprise clients.
- Conduct competitive research, market analysis, and opportunity mapping to inform AMAKA’s business development direction.
- Collaborate with the Head of Projects to align commercial strategy with operational feasibility and production capacity.
3. Business Development, Proposals & Pitches
- Identify and research new business opportunities across events, brands, agencies, and organisations that align with AMAKA’s strengths.
- Develop polished proposals, pitch decks, scopes of work, and retainer structures in collaboration with leadership and production teams.
- Prepare tailored capability documents and presentation materials geared toward winning new clients and securing large-scale engagements.
- Lead early-stage outreach, manage follow-up communication, coordinate meetings, and maintain a professional pipeline of prospects.
- Support pitch rehearsals, narrative development, and value articulation to ensure AMAKA delivers compelling commercial presentations.
4. Project Coordination & Delivery Oversight
- Oversee the transition of new clients and projects into execution, ensuring internal teams are fully briefed and aligned on scope and expectations.
- Track timelines, deliverables, approvals, and workflows across multiple projects to maintain AMAKA’s quality standards.
- Flag risks early, propose solutions, and maintain strong communication between clients and internal teams.
- Organise and maintain documentation, briefs, approvals, and communication logs.
5. Internal Operations & Collaboration
- Maintain accuracy and structure in CRM tools, ensuring leadership has visibility on pipelines, leads, and active conversations.
- Support internal planning sessions, weekly reviews, and team check-ins with clear summaries of client activity and opportunities.
- Help curate and update AMAKA’s case study archive, work portfolio, and pitch material library.
- Provide insights from the market and client interactions to refine AMAKA’s services, pricing, and positioning.
6. Reporting & Communication
- Deliver weekly reports summarising client updates, new business activity, priority actions, and timeline considerations.
- Present opportunities, risks, and insights during internal meetings.
- Maintain a consistently polished communication style on behalf of AMAKA.
- Working with project leads to develop post campaign analysis documents for clients.
Key Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years’ experience in account management, business development, partnerships, or client services within creative, experiential, media, or marketing environments.
- Demonstrated experience developing proposals, strategies, and pitch materials for high-value clients.
- Proven ability to manage complex relationships and multi-layered creative projects.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisation, follow-through, and time management.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, lean, and highly collaborative environment.
- A solid understanding of creative and production processes (design, video, events, content) is a strong advantage.
