Account Manager
The landscape account manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts while building the book of business and upselling existing clients. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining successful relationships with clients that support the goals for renewal, retention growth and profitability. The self-motivated account manager will assume ownership of the client relationship and will be the primary contact for their assigned clients. To be successful, account managers must have a strong work ethic, enjoy working with clients and help lead a team of landscape professionals. Operational tasks include working closely with the production team to evaluate performance, quality, and financials within your account. This position will collaborate with other account, production, and irrigation managers to see that the overall goals of our company have been met. You will be required to spend 30% of your time in the field managing your team, consulting clients, and gathering data from sites. Maldonado account managers are the backbone of the landscape maintenance industry and fundamental in the operations here at Maldonado Nursery and Landscaping.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain long term relationships and keep direct communication with all levels of client organizations to ensure high quality and service expectations are met.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and developing service/product offerings, while understanding and identifying opportunities for customers
  • Manage account profitability and strive for retention and growth.
  • Acts as the primary for escalation of concerns and resolving issues with clients and the service.
  • Conduct regular service reviews with clients to assess expectations.
  • Proactively promote enhancement ideas that upgrade functionality and aesthetics on client properties.
  • Stay current on industry standards, contracts, and terms.
  • Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to fully demonstrate the value of MNL.
  • Prepares and completes action plans; customer-service standards; resolves problems; completes audits; identifies trends and determines system improvements.
  • Selling landscape upgrades, and other related services.
  • Summarize sales calls, customer visits and prepare call reports and input into Aspire.
  • Assist with collecting client payments.
  • Maintain the renewal rate of 75%-85% of accounts.
  • Effectively manage 1.5M worth of accounts.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • 3+ years of Account Management experience in commercial landscaping
  • Previous experience with Aspire software preferred
