JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced and driven Account Manager to take ownership of a portion of our North Carolina territory. In this position you will represent a line of industry leading products backed by Covalen who is recognized for our customer service and innovative processes. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivating new and maintaining current relationships with consulting engineers, municipal utilities, home builders, owners, builder/developers, contractors, or other purchasing influencers within your assigned territory
  • Working with engineers and owners to develop innovative solutions for collection system improvements utilizing pressure sewers and innovative lift station technology
  • Working with vendors to expeditiously meet customer needs
  • Preparing quotes, securing orders, and submitting supporting documentation
  • Providing submittals, equipment start-up, owner training, and service support
  • Working with in-house personnel to ensure great customer service from order entry to customer payment
  • Travel to customers within the assigned North Carolina territory using a personal vehicle, some overnight stays required

SKILLS

  • Strong sales drive and enjoy providing exceptional customer service
  • Prior general pump or mechanical system sales experience
  • Municipal, commercial, and industrial sales process knowledge
  • Network of consulting engineers, municipal utilities, and contractors
  • Experience in wholesale distribution
  • A strong balance of mechanical and interpersonal skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

WORK EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years outside sales experience in a related mechanical or infrastructure field
  • Remote (home office) located in Eastern North Carolina
  • Computer and Microsoft Office experience
  • Driver’s license

SALARY

  • Base salary
  • Commission
  • Mileage and business expense reimbursement

Base Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
