Account Manager – Landscape Maintenance & Enhancements

Base Salary: $85,000–$95,000 DOE
Commission: 2–3% on enhancement & new contract sales
Schedule: Full-time, exempt

About the Role

This is a client-facing, revenue-producing Account Manager role responsible for:

  • Managing client relationships
  • Identifying and selling enhancement opportunities
  • Estimating work
  • Ensuring quality service delivery

This is a hybrid role — not purely sales and not purely operations.

If you prefer only sales OR only operations, this is not the right fit.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Account Management (Client Relationships)

  • Manage a portfolio of HOA and commercial landscape accounts
  • Perform regular property walks and identify issues or improvements
  • Build strong relationships with property managers and board members
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention

Sales & Enhancements

  • Identify and sell enhancement opportunities (planting, irrigation, upgrades, etc.)
  • Prepare and present proposals to clients
  • Follow up consistently to close work
  • Support contract renewals and upsells

Estimating & Coordination

  • Prepare accurate estimates using company templates
  • Coordinate with field teams on scheduling and execution
  • Monitor job quality and ensure work meets expectations

What We’re Looking For (IMPORTANT)

Must Have:

  • 5+ years in landscape account management, estimating, or similar role
  • Experience working directly with HOA or commercial clients
  • Proven ability to sell enhancement work or upsell services
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organized and able to manage multiple properties and priorities

Nice to Have:

  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Experience with estimating or CRM systems (we are implementing BOSS)

  • Managing both people and problems
  • Balancing sales, service, and operations
  • Taking ownership — not waiting for direction

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $85,000–$95,000 DOE
  • Commission:
  • 2% on enhancement and new contract sales
  • 3% after one year
  • Medical: Employer-paid Kaiser plan (employee) after 60 days
  • PTO, Sick Time & 6 Paid Holidays
