Position Summary
The Account Manager/ Project Manager of Door Division oversees commercial door, frame, and hardware projects from award through closeout. This role owns project scheduling, material procurement, subcontractor and field crew coordination, and customer communication across local and nationwide installations, ensuring jobs are delivered on time, on budget, and to ZSI quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage door, frame, and hardware projects through the full lifecycle: takeoff verification, submittals, procurement, scheduling, installation, and closeout.
- Generate and review purchase orders for doors, frames, and finish hardware; coordinate lead times with suppliers to hold project schedules.
- Read and interpret architectural plans, door schedules, and hardware specifications; verify against field conditions.
- Coordinate field crews and subcontractors across multi-state job sites, including route and logistics planning.
- Serve as primary point of contact for general contractors, property managers, and customers regarding scope, schedule, and changes.
- Track project costs, change orders, and budgets; flag variances early.
- Maintain documentation and job records in CompanyCam and FieldPulse.
- Coordinate with service and invoicing to ensure timely billing and callback resolution.
- Manage warranty issues, punch lists, and callbacks to closeout.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management or estimating experience in commercial doors/hardware, glazing, or a related construction trade.
- Working knowledge of commercial door, frame, and hardware systems (hollow metal, wood, aluminum; commercial locksets, closers, exit devices).
- Ability to read commercial construction documents, door schedules, and hardware specs.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and vendor-coordination skills.
- Proficiency with project management and documentation software (CompanyCam, FieldPulse, or similar).
- Clear written and verbal communication with customers and trade partners.
- Valid driver's license; willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
While we'd love a candidate that's been in the industry, we can train the right person. Construction office experience is a must.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
