Account Receivable and Payable Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Receivable and Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Your expertise in accounting software, financial concepts, and negotiation will drive efficient revenue cycle management and foster strong relationships with clients and vendors. • Process and monitor accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, collections, and customer account analysis using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Manage accounts payable functions by verifying, coding, and entering vendor invoices with precision, ensuring timely payments in accordance with company policies
• Reconcile accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly through effective negotiation and communication with clients and vendors
• Perform journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis to support accurate financial reporting
• Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing financial reports, analyzing data entries, and ensuring accuracy of debits & credits
• Provide excellent customer service by responding professionally to inquiries related to account status or payment issues via phone or email

Experience

• Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable functions within a corporate or public accounting setting
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and analysis skills
• Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks or similar platforms.
• Excellent negotiation skills coupled with strong phone etiquette for effective client/vendor communication
• Ability to analyze complex financial data efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
