Account Representative
POSITION SUMMARY
Large Format Account Reps are responsible for selling, ordering and presenting products. Large format AR is responsible for selling new products and promotions, collaborating with customers to generate accurate product orders, ensuring commercial plans are executed across their account base, and merchandising products and using safe handling techniques and following all quality guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successfully sells against the company’s annual sales plan (AOP) as well as individual performance targets.
- Manages account inventory and rotation; ensures that on-shelf inventory is adequate to support same-day sales; creates and transmits sales orders from VIP Sales App on iPad according to delivery schedule.
- Prioritizes account visits based on customer availability and needs; has flexibility to coordinate off-schedule visits and/or deliveries.
- Secures and maintains cold and warm space, displays, and racks; responsible for placement of point-of-sale (POS) and other promotional signage.
- Activates local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize performance.
- Coordinates display and holiday activity and sells against LTO and innovation distribution targets.
- Communicates with customers to identify and understand their product and service needs; identifies and suggests products and promotions to increase sales and revenue.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management and works to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Coordinates with delivery drivers and/or merchandisers to ensure excellent service for each customer.
- Collaborates with PSM, Operations Team, and KAM’s to ensure orders are submitted, delivered, and merchandised according to plan.
- Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new account leads.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work reliably and independently with minimal daily supervision.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean and insurable driving record.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
- Reliable transportation to access multiple store locations within an assigned shift.
- Proof of insurance that meets the Company’s minimum requirements.
- Previous experience in a retail business or grocery store preferred but not required.
- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math skills.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be physically and mentally able to successfully perform the essential elements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Must frequently lift or move up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally), climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical equipment, outside weather conditions, and high, precarious places.
- The noise level in the work area is usually low.
- Daily travel to customer locations is required.
