Job Summary
The Accountancy Teacher is responsible for teaching Accountancy as per the CBSE curriculum, developing students’ conceptual clarity and numerical skills, and preparing them for internal assessments and CBSE board examinations.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach Accountancy to Classes XI and XII following CBSE syllabus and guidelines
- Explain accounting concepts such as:
- Financial Accounting
- Partnership Accounts
- Company Accounts
- Cash Flow Statement
- Accounting for Not-for-Profit Organizations
- Develop lesson plans aligned with learning outcomes and board exam patterns
- Use examples, problem-solving techniques, and real-life applications to enhance understanding
Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare assignments, worksheets, unit tests, and question papers as per CBSE norms
- Evaluate answer sheets, projects, and practical work accurately
- Maintain records of students’ academic performance
- Provide remedial teaching and academic support when required
Classroom & Student Management
- Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
- Encourage analytical thinking and accuracy in numerical work
- Support diverse learning needs and individual student growth
Administrative & Professional Duties
- Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, and academic documentation
- Participate in staff meetings, CBSE trainings, and school activities
- Coordinate with parents regarding student progress
- Contribute to curriculum planning and academic improvement initiatives
QualificationsEducational Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Commerce (M.Com) / MBA (Finance)
- B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms)

- Strong command over CBSE Accountancy syllabus
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in using smart boards, digital tools, and online teaching platforms
- Student-centric teaching approach
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience teaching Accountancy in a CBSE school preferred
- Freshers with strong academic background may also be considered
