The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate books of accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements. This role plays a key part in supporting decision-making by providing reliable financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, and payments).
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Manage general ledger entries, journal vouchers, and monthly closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements such as P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and other statutory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Monitor and manage petty cash and employee reimbursements.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring.
  • Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams for financial matters.
  • Generate periodic MIS and financial performance reports for management review.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliances.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail with accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field B.Com.
  • Professional certifications (CA Inter, ICWA, MBA Finance) will be an added advantage.
  • Freshers Preferable
