Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our interior design/manufacturing firm. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and support management in financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Maintain daily books of accounts (Journal, Ledger, Cash, Bank).
  • Record all financial transactions accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and vendor bills.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain MIS reports for management review.
  • Taxation & Compliance
  • Handle GST returns, TDS, PF/ESI, and other statutory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
  • Payroll & Expenses
  • Process employee payroll and reimbursements.
  • Maintain attendance and leave records for payroll accuracy.
  • Banking & Cash Management
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
  • Monitor cash flow and report liquidity position.
  • Coordination & Support
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and clients for payment follow-ups.
  • Support management with financial analysis for project costing and pricing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven work experience as an Accountant (preferably in the construction/interior/ manufacturing sector).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of cost accounting related to materials, labor, and project expenses.
  • Experience in handling vendor negotiations and client billing.
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • M.Com/B.Com Needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
