The Accountant will be responsible for managing the daily financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, payroll processing, and budget preparation. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger & Reporting:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations (e.g., bank, accruals, fixed assets).
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Compliance & Audit:
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Maintain compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Oversee the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations.
- Budgeting & Analysis:
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Payroll:
- Process and manage payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee wages and compliance with relevant laws.
