Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at Botanee. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, overseeing daily financial operations, processing transactions, and providing timely and accurate financial reports. This role plays a key part in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Maintain and manage the restaurant’s daily financial transactions, including cash handling, bank deposits, and credit card payments.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and track invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of suppliers, vendors, and other financial obligations.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and process payroll for restaurant employees, ensuring compliance with tax laws and company policies.
  • Bookkeeping: Record financial transactions in the company’s accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), and ensure that all entries are accurate.
  • Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and petty cash to ensure that financial records are complete and accurate.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing and analyzing financial budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure all tax filings are accurate and submitted on time, including sales tax, income tax, and employee-related taxes.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets. Provide analysis and advice on cost management and financial performance.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and manage expenses to ensure they align with budgetary goals. Provide recommendations to optimize profitability.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to track and report on inventory usage, ensuring that costs are properly accounted for and losses are minimized.
  • Audits & Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits. Ensure the restaurant follows all applicable financial laws, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role, preferably in the hospitality industry (restaurant experience is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly related to payroll and restaurant operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
