Job Description – Accountant

Role: Accountant Location: Kalamassery, Kochi

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience: 2–4 years (D2C / FMCG experience preferred)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage day-to-day finance operations, ensure compliance, and support the founding team with accurate financial reporting. This role is critical as we scale our operations across product development, manufacturing, e-commerce, and retail.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

● Maintain daily bookkeeping in Tally/Zoho/QuickBooks.

● Record and reconcile all invoices, payments, and receipts.

● Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.

● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

2. Compliance & Taxation

● Manage GST filings, TDS filings, and ensure statutory compliance.

● Coordinate with external CA/auditors for return filings and audits.

● Ensure accurate documentation for compliance and statutory requirements.

3. Inventory & Costing

● Monitor inventory ledgers across warehouse and manufacturing unit.

● Manage purchase orders, GRNs, stock-in/out entries.

● Update BOM costing and track landed costs.

4. Banking & Payments

● Manage vendor payments, salary processing, reimbursements.

● Reconcile bank statements and payment gateway settlements (Razorpay, Cashfree, etc.).

5. Reporting & Analysis

● Prepare MIS reports: cash flow, burn rate, payables/receivables, ageing reports.

● Track budgets vs actuals.

● Support founders with financial planning inputs.

Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Finance (B.Com/ M.Com/ CA Inter).

● 2–4 years of accounting experience (startup/D2C experience is a plus).

● Strong knowledge of Tally/Zoho Books/QuickBooks.

● Good understanding of GST, TDS, and basic compliance.

● Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.

● Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ownership mindset.

Good to Have

● Experience handling e-commerce settlements (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify).

● Knowledge of inventory management in FMCG/consumer brands.

● Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
