ShoeGR is a fast-growing footwear care and accessories brand offering premium shoe cleaners, protectors, insoles, and other sneaker-care essentials. With a strong digital presence and a fast-paced operational environment, ShoeGR is looking for an experienced Accountant who can manage end-to-end financial operations—especially those related to e-commerce platforms and physical inventory.
Position Summary
ShoeGR is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Accountant with minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the e-commerce or retail sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounts, reconciling marketplace sales, handling taxation, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
1. E-commerce & Marketplace Accounting
- Reconcile sales from Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and ShoeGR’s website.
- Verify payments, deductions, commissions, and settlement reports.
- Track refunds, cancellations, claims, and chargebacks.
2. Inventory & COGS Management
- Monitor inventory across warehouses and fulfillment centers.
- Maintain records of stock movement, purchase entries, and COGS.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure stock accuracy.
3. General Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain general ledger entries and handle month-end closing.
- Prepare balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow statements.
4. Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
- Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards.
- Maintain documentation for audits and assessments.
5. Payment Gateway & Online Transactions
- Handle reconciliations for Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, etc.
- Track settlements, fees, refunds, and discrepancies.
6. Reporting & Analysis
- Generate MIS reports for management.
- Identify financial trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
7. Vendor & Customer Accounting
- Manage vendor payments and customer receivables.
- Maintain accurate vendor/customer ledger entries.
8. Audit Support
- Maintain organized records for audit purposes.
- Support internal and external audits.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience (e-commerce preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian tax laws.
- Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books.
- Strong Excel skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub.
- Knowledge of inventory systems (Unicommerce, Vinculum, etc.).
- CA-Inter/CMA-Inter preferred.
