Sham Institute is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the institute’s financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of accounting standards, and the ability to maintain financial integrity within the organization.
Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the institute, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and auditing. This role involves close collaboration with various departments and the institution’s Chartered Accountant (CA) to ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and support for the institution’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
1] Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2] Monitor budget variances, track financial performance, and provide insights for decision-making.
3] Assist in developing and managing the institution’s annual budget and forecasting financial needs.
4] Collaborate with department heads to allocate resources effectively.
5] Ensure compliance with financial regulations, institutional policies, and statutory requirements.
6] Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare required documentation, and address audit findings.
7] Work closely with the Chartered Accountant (CA) on statutory compliance, taxation, and audit-related processes.
8] Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
9] Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation of all transactions.
10] Communicate financial information clearly to faculty, staff, and governing bodies when needed.
11] Provide training and support on financial procedures and systems when needed.
12] Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements
Qualifications
1] Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2] Certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are advantageous.
Experience
1] Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting.
Skills
1] Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
2] Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
3] Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4] Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
