Accountant

Accountant with SAP certifications should include responsibilities like managing daily accounting operations in SAP, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations using SAP tools. Key duties also involve using SAP to streamline processes, analyze financial data, and support month-end and year-end closing. The role requires someone to translate business requirements into SAP solutions and provide training or support to other users. Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting within the SAP system.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with accounting standards, using SAP to support the process.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, leveraging SAP for efficiency.
• Analyze financial data from SAP to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.

SAP-specific tasks

• Utilize SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules to design, configure, and implement financial solutions.
• Translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions, and perform gap analysis to map requirements to SAP functionalities.
• Provide end-user training and support on SAP accounting functionalities.
• Collaborate with other SAP module consultants to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to SAP processes.
• Support the development of SAP enhancements, reports, and interfaces as needed.

Qualifications and skills

• Proficiency in SAP modules such as FI and CO is essential.
• Experience in financial analysis, reporting, and statement preparation.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with both finance teams and IT departments.
