Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the complete financial operations of our flower boutique, including retail shop, events, and online sales channels. The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting, track flower inventory and wastage, manage vendor payments, handle VAT compliance, and provide accurate financial reporting to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities1. Daily Accounting & Cash Management

  • Record all daily sales from POS, online orders, walk-ins, deliveries, and subscriptions.
  • Verify delivery sheets, florist consumption sheets, and reconcile with sales.
  • Handle cash, card, and online payment reconciliations.
  • Track outstanding customer payments (corporate, event clients, and regular customers).

2. Flower Inventory, Costing & Wastage

  • Maintain detailed stock records for fresh flowers, accessories, vases, wrapping materials, and tools.
  • Track daily flower consumption for bouquets, arrangements, and events.
  • Calculate cost of bouquets/arrangements and ensure correct pricing.
  • Record wastage, expired flowers, and adjust stock accordingly.
  • Work closely with purchasing and florist team to maintain accurate stock levels.

3. Vendor Management

  • Record supplier invoices (flower market, wholesalers, Holland shipments, accessories).
  • Track payments, credit terms, and reconcile supplier accounts.
  • Ensure all purchase orders and receipts match before payments.

4. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports.
  • Prepare profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyse profitability for retail, delivery, corporate, and event segments.
  • Monitor expenses and suggest cost-control measures (e.g., wastage reduction, purchase planning).

5. VAT & Compliance

  • Record VAT-compliant invoices and maintain proper tax documentation.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE FTA rules.
  • Maintain documentation for VAT audit readiness.

6. Payroll & Petty Cash

  • Manage florist and delivery team payroll, including overtime and allowances.
  • Track delivery rider commissions and fuel reimbursements.
  • Manage petty cash for daily shop expenses and reconcile weekly.

7. Online & Multi-Channel Order Integration

  • Reconcile sales from WhatsApp, Instagram, website, Talabat, Deliveroo, Noon, and other platforms.
  • Match platform payouts with bank deposits.
  • Track commission deductions and platform service fees.

8. Internal Controls

  • Ensure accurate billing, proper approvals for purchases, and secure cash handling.
  • Monitor POS reports, delivery logs, and florist production sheets.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation for all operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience (retail/flower shop preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and cost accounting.
  • Proficient in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar software.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in floral, retail, event management, or hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of bouquet costing, event costing, and stock management.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and online delivery platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
