JOB VACANCY: ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a passion for numbers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare and maintain financial records

· Manage accounts payable and receivable

· Assist in the preparation of financial statements

· Conduct audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations

· Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

· 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field

· Proficiency in accounting software (eg: Zoho Books)

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Key Responsibilities of an Accountant:

· Prepare and Maintain Financial Records:
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

· Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee the processing of incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring proper documentation.

· Assist in the Preparation of Financial Statements:
Help compile balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide insights into the company's financial status.

· Conduct Audits and Ensure Compliance:
Perform regular audits to ensure financial practices comply with laws and regulations.

· Collaborate with Other Departments:
Work closely with various departments to improve financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Essential Tasks in Preparing Financial Records:

1. Data Entry:

o Record all financial transactions accurately in accounting software or ledgers.

2. Account Reconciliation:

o Regularly compare and reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure consistency.

3. Invoice Management:

o Generate and send invoices to clients, track payments, and manage accounts receivable.

4. Expense Tracking:

o Maintain records of all business expenses, ensuring receipts and documentation are organized.

5. Payroll Processing:

o Prepare payroll records, calculate wages, deductions, and ensure timely payments to employees.

6. Financial Statement Preparation:

o Compile balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements based on recorded data.

7. Tax Preparation:

o Gather necessary information for tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

8. Regular Reporting:

o Generate periodic financial reports to provide insights into the company’s financial health.

9. Documentation and Filing:

o Maintain organized files of all financial documents for easy access and compliance purposes.

10. Audit Preparation:

o Prepare records for internal or external audits by ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

These tasks help maintain a clear and accurate picture of the company’s financial status, ensuring compliance and facilitating informed decision-making.

Job Type: Full-time
