Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Raipur. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (such as GST, TDS), and supporting budgeting and financial analysis. This role offers a great opportunity for a finance professional to help shape the financial operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, sub-ledgers, bank statements and cash accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (profit & loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement).
  • Perform monthly close and prepare journal entries and adjustments as necessary. Indeed+1
  • Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST filings, TDS, etc.
  • Work with external auditors during audit process, prepare audit schedules and support documentation. Higher Education User Group+1
  • Maintain proper accounting records, filing and documentation for audit and compliance.
  • Assist in process improvements, implement best practices in accounting functions.
  • Liaise with other functions (operations, procurement, HR) to ensure accurate financial data and support decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in accounting / finance role (for mid-level role).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards and practices (Indian GAAP / applicable standards).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and accounting software / ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and integrity in handling financial data.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills: ability to identify discrepancies, suggest improvements.
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to work within a team.
  • Ability to handle deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other Indian statutory requirements would be a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
