Accountant

Role Purpose

The Senior Accountant will manage and control the full finance cycle of the automotive service center, ensuring accurate accounting, cost monitoring, profitability analysis, cashflow stability, and full financial compliance. This role is critical to maintaining financial discipline, supporting management decisions, and ensuring business growth.

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain full set of accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare management financial reports and performance dashboards.

Cost Control & Workshop Financial Management

• Monitor workshop revenue, parts revenue, labor gross margin, discounts, and credits.
• Track job cards, work orders, and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Monitor spare parts costing, pricing, and stock valuation.
• Analyze profitability per service category (mechanical, electrical, bodywork, detailing, etc.).
• Implement financial discipline in pricing, credit policy, and approvals.

Cash Flow & Banking

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Monitor customer credit limits and overdue balances.
• Oversee bank reconciliation, loans, facilities, and payments.
• Manage petty cash, daily collections, and payment controls.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with Qatar regulations, VAT (if applicable), and tax standards.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external financial institutions.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and records.

Budgeting & Strategy Support

• Support management with budgets and financial forecasting.
• Provide financial insights for decision making.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce cost leakages.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification preferred (ACCA / CPA / CMA).
• Minimum 5–8 years accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, Oracle, SAP).
• Strong knowledge of inventory and cost accounting.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and leadership capability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,500.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
